High in the mountains of Guatemala, the community of El Pajal has taken a major step toward a brighter future. After years of difficult access to water, 288 families now have safe, drinkable water right in their homes—a milestone that is transforming daily life.This achievement was made possible through the dedication of the local community, their deep faith in God, and the invaluable partnership with 410 Bridge. Together, they worked hand in hand to make safe water a reality.

In the village of Villa Linda, Guatemala, clean water has always been more than a convenience—it’s been a daily struggle.For years, families faced the challenge of living without a reliable water source. Drinking, cooking, cleaning, and even growing their own food were constant battles against scarcity. The lack of water limited health, well-being, and opportunities for growth in every household.

On October 7th, members of the Mugaa community gathered at the borehole site to witness something they had dreamed about for years—the groundbreaking ceremony for their new water project.After months of waiting and navigating a lengthy certification process, the community finally received approval to begin drilling. What followed was a day filled with joy, music, and heartfelt gratitude.

In Aldea El Triunfo, Guatemala, getting a notebook or a pencil wasn’t as simple as walking to the nearest store. Until recently, children and young people had to travel to Casa Grande or Buenos Aires—a long journey of about an hour—just to buy school supplies.This reality limited access to education and created additional expenses for families. Many children couldn’t bring the materials their teachers requested because the distance and travel costs were prohibitive. For families without the means to make the trip, simply obtaining basic school supplies felt impossible.It was during the training programs offered by 410 Bridge, such as Business Start-Up Training (BST) and Foundation for Farming, that Meily Danely Solís Figueroa realized this gap wasn’t just a problem—it was also a business opportunity.With vision, faith, and determination, she decided to open the first bookstore in Aldea El Triunfo. What started as a solution to an urgent need soon became a project with economic, social, and personal impact.

I first learned about The 410 Bridge in 2008 when I was a young high school student in a rural village called Ngaamba in eastern Kenya. At the time, my community had already begun partnering with 410 Bridge (from 2007 to 2019), but I didn’t fully understand how this partnership started. What I did see was the transformation.New opportunities were emerging, families were thriving, and hope was growing all around me. I was curious, but as a teenager, I simply attributed the changes to the work of God—which I still believe to this day. Deep down, I dreamed of one day joining 410 Bridge and helping bring this kind of change to others. That dream came true in 2016, when I joined the team as a Community Coordinator in Ngaamba.

Families in Chipila and San Jose, Guatemala have been waiting far too long for basic medical care. Two new health clinics are ready, but without the right equipment, nurses can’t serve families—and that’s where you come in.Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, we’re already making progress. At 410 Bridge, our goal is simple: empower communities to thrive independently. Ndibai is a remarkable example of this vision in action. As this community prepares to graduate next year, we’re excited to share the incredible progress they’ve made—and how your support has played a part in their journey.Clean, Affordable Water for AllThe water project in Ndibai, completed in 2016, has been a lifeline for the community. With over 128 households—about 80% of the population—now able to access clean and safe water within a 30-minute round trip, the impact is clear.Recently, when rising electricity costs threatened the sustainability of the water project, the Water Management Committee stepped in. Using savings from water sales and mobilizing additional funds from community members, they installed a solar-powered water pumping system with some support from 410 Bridge.

Severe flooding recently swept through remote farming communities along the Rio Grande de Matagalpa in Nicaragua. Torrential rains destroyed crops, killed livestock, and left families facing immediate food shortages and long-term economic hardship.For families who already work tirelessly just to provide the basics, these floods are devastating. Homes and fields that once sustained families now lie in ruin, and the challenge of rebuilding can feel overwhelming.

In the village of Villa Linda, Guatemala, the future isn’t something you wait for—it’s something you grow every day, with small hands and big decisions. That’s where Keiver and Camelia live, each carrying clear dreams and a savings book that’s already taking them far.For them, saving isn’t just a habit. It’s an act of faith. Every coin they set aside is a seed—growing slowly, with care, patience, and purpose—to transform their lives.

High in the mountains of Unión Cantinil, Guatemala, lie the villages of Las Lomas, La Nueva Independencia, and El Triunfo. Here, families have long lived on the edge of survival—sometimes with just enough, often with less.In these communities, more than half of the population lives in poverty. One in six families cannot even afford the minimum cost of food. Jobs are scarce. Women are often left behind. And perhaps most painful of all, many people have come to believe that their situation is permanent. That they were born to survive, not to thrive.But hopelessness is not the end of the story.

In Ulu, a semi-arid community where farming and livestock rearing are often challenged by unpredictable rainfall, residents are finding new ways to thrive. Recently, 61 community members participated in a week-long specialized training program focused on detergent and soap making, pastry baking, and beadwork. These participants were previous beneficiaries of Business Skills Training (BST) and Foundations for Farming (F4F), building on skills they had already learned.

The Ulu community faces unique challenges. Located in a semi-arid region, rainfall is unreliable, making agriculture difficult. Currently, three private boreholes provide water to nearly 50% of households, but families face additional struggles from rainwater runoff from the ground and rooftops—water that could otherwise be used to support farming and daily needs.When community leaders approached us, they asked for help in finding a solution to harness this runoff to benefit homes and small farms, especially during drought.

The school bell rings in Mutirithia, Kenya, but not every child is ready to learn. Many walk long distances, arrive thirsty, and face classrooms without safe water. Illness, missed classes, and exhaustion are daily obstacles that threaten their ability to focus, grow, and thrive.This isn’t just about water—it’s about giving children the opportunity to succeed.

Kennedy’s journey shows the lasting impact of sponsorship. Growing up in a small Kenyan village, he faced obstacles many of us could barely imagine: long walks to school, limited access to books, and a family barely able to afford daily meals. But through the 410 Bridge child sponsorship program, Kennedy received tuition, school supplies, uniforms, and, perhaps most importantly, consistent encouragement and mentorship. “With sponsorship, I realized I could dream bigger,” Kennedy says. “I could see a future for myself beyond my village.”
