Uganda

The 410 Bridge's work in Uganda began in 2013 through a partnership with Faith Kunihira, founder of Bringing Hope to the Family, a ministry serving her home community of Kaihura in the Kyenjojo District. Bringing Hope to the Family was already operating a children's home, health clinic, vocational school, and farming initiative — a natural foundation for deeper community development.

In Kaihura, The 410 Bridge implemented its full community development model, with core programs led by a local Leadership Council. Mission teams traveled to serve alongside community members, and a child sponsorship program supported children in two children's homes and two local schools.

Kaihura also became the home of the Daraja Children's Choir. Between 2013 and 2019, The 410 Bridge sponsored six choir tours that brought students from Kaihura to the United States, where they traveled to churches and organizations across the country — sharing their stories, leading worship, building relationships, and helping spread the gospel.

In 2019, The 410 Bridge concluded its formal partnership with the Kaihura community, and the final Daraja Children's Choir returned home shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, The 410 Bridge's presence in Uganda continues through child sponsorship for secondary school students — covering school fees, transportation, supplies, and more — along with a university sponsorship program supporting former Daraja Choir students as they complete their education.
