About Mutirithia
Mutirithia, whose name comes from the Kikuyu language and refers to an elderly man walking slowly with a walking stick, is one of 410 Bridge’s more diverse communities, with residents from many regions of Kenya, including the Maasai, Turkana, Samburu, and Kikuyu tribes. The strong influence of Maasai culture emphasizes respect for elders, discipline, and shared responsibility within the community.
Since partnering with 410 Bridge in 2019, Mutirithia has focused on goals including education support, farming and business training, leadership development, savings group expansion, mentorship programs, fruit tree and seed initiatives, pastoral training, and business start-up training.
