Minyalala
About Minyalala
Minyalala is located in Kenya’s Ukambani region and is home to the Akamba (Kamba) people. Founded in 1914 by families who migrated from Mbooni in search of greater stability and opportunity, the community is known for its resilience, strong faith, and close-knit villages. Many families rely on subsistence farming and small-scale trade, while recurring drought and limited infrastructure continue to challenge livelihoods.
As 410 Bridge’s newest community partnership, established in 2025, Minyalala is working to improve access to clean water, strengthen education, increase food security through sustainable farming, expand small business and savings groups, empower youth through mentorship and leadership development, support local churches, improve healthcare access, and create economic opportunities for women.
