About El Pajal
El Pajal takes its name from a native plant that once grew throughout the area and was traditionally used to build thatched-roof homes before concrete and brick became common. Today, the community is internationally recognized for producing award-winning coffee, while many residents also earn livelihoods through small businesses and masonry. El Pajal is known for its talented musicians and strong culture of generosity, with neighbors readily supporting one another.
Since partnering with 410 Bridge in 2017, El Pajal has focused on expanding access to clean water, supporting children with special needs, strengthening children’s spiritual development through Bible camps, improving educational opportunities, and equipping local leaders to serve their community.
