Lesson 1: Mission Trip Training Introduction
Thank you for stepping out in faith to lead a 410 Bridge mission trip. Whether this is your first or 50th trip, we know you’ll find fresh insights and practical tools in these training lessons. Our goal is to help you prepare yourself and your team spiritually, emotionally, and logistically, allowing you to focus on the work God has set before you.
-
Lesson 2: Who We Are
As you step into the role of Team Leader with 410 Bridge, you become part of a mission that reaches far beyond the work you’ll see on the ground. This lesson will help you communicate to your team who we are as an organization, why we do what we do, and how your trip fits into a greater vision.
-
Lesson 3: What to Expect
Now that you’ve learned more about who we are and heard from Tori about the overarching vision of your trip, let’s talk in a little more detail about what to expect during your time on the ground. This journey will be one of both service and spiritual growth, and it’s important to go in with an open heart and mind.
-
Lesson 4: Giving with Purpose: Empowering Relationships
As a team leader, you play a critical role in shaping how mission teams engage with the communities we serve. While the desire to help is noble, understanding how our actions affect those we serve is essential to maintaining healthy, empowering relationships.
-
Lesson 5: Safety & Security
At 410 Bridge, ensuring the safety and security of every mission trip participant is one of our highest priorities. As a trip leader, you play a vital role in upholding these standards for yourself, your team, and our organization as a whole.
-
Lesson 6: Discipleship
Spiritual development is a key element of your mission trip experience, and it will unfold across the phases of the trip: before, during, and after. As a Team Leader, you play an important role in guiding your team’s spiritual growth throughout each stage.
-
Lesson 7: Cultural Climate
You and your team are about to embark on an incredible journey, immersing yourselves in a new culture. This lesson is designed to equip you with the essential knowledge and mindset to navigate this experience with respect, openness, and understanding. Tiffany emphasized a key mindset for your travels: approach the trip as a guest and learner.
-
Lesson 8: Closing
We are truly grateful for your willingness to step out in faith and partner with us in leading this team. Your dedication and commitment mean the world to us, and we are so excited to see how God works through you and your team. We could not fulfill this mission without you, and we are looking forward to hearing about the ways God moves in and through your group.
