Chris gave an excellent overview of our purpose, and now we’ll explore in more detail how your team contributes to our mission to empower communities and build lasting relationships.

Who We Are

Our Mission and Beliefs

410 Bridge is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization working to redefine the fight against poverty through holistic community development in impoverished nations. Guided by a passion to see lives transformed, we focus on building relationships over providing aid, in line with Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:20: “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Our core belief is that sustainable change comes through empowering communities, not creating dependency. As followers of Christ, we see service as a direct expression of our faith, grounded in the scripture:

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10

Through this work, we aim to create disciples, build community, and spur each other forward in our walk with Christ.

Our Statement of Faith

We hold strongly to the truth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that salvation is found in Him alone. We embrace a ministry that transcends denominational boundaries, uniting the body of Christ to glorify God and reveal His grace and love to others.

What We Do and How We Do It

The 410 Bridge Community Development Model

Our work is carried out through a unique missional model, designed to be sustained by indigenous leaders and the local church. The model relies on four main steps:

  • Indigenous Leadership – We establish a Leadership Council in each community, primarily composed of local pastors and leaders, to guide and take ownership of the community’s growth.

  • Community Assessment – Each Council identifies the community’s assets, gifts, and greatest needs, both spiritual and physical.

  • Development Plan – The Council then prioritizes areas of development and crafts an action plan to address these needs.

  • Partnership – 410 Bridge and our partners work alongside the community to support them in achieving their goals.

*Please note: In the Dominican Republic, our recent acquisition of Mission Hope means some aspects of our work may differ as we integrate existing programs into the 410 Bridge model.

Key Areas of Development

In every community, development is holistic, covering these five key areas:

  • Spiritual Development – Programs like Discovery Kids, pastor training, and Bible distributions encourage growth in faith.

  • Water – Projects include water filters and comprehensive water systems.

  • Education – Efforts include child sponsorship, tutoring, teacher training, and feeding programs.

  • Economic Development – Biblically based programs like Foundations for Farming, Business Start-up Training, and Savings Groups foster financial empowerment.

  • Health – Health initiatives include maintaining or starting clinics, hygiene courses, and sanitation projects.

Our community development model is designed to be community-led, ensuring sustainability without reliance on Western teams.

Why Trips?

Our trips aim to build relationships and foster understanding of the partnership between communities and 410 Bridge. By working together on projects, sharing meals, and visiting homes and churches, your team will witness first-hand how our model supports community-led development.These trips are highly relational, meaning the focus is on forming connections and learning from each other. While these relationships may not continue when you return home, the impact on both you and the community is lasting.

Your trip is a piece of a greater puzzle that God is using to transform hearts, communities, and even nations.
