How our unique sponsorship model changes lives and impacts communities:
We care for spiritual needs through our discipleship programs, empowering students to see themselves as children of God.
We care for each child’s physical, spiritual and educational needs. We work to raise the quality of education for the entire classroom.
We work with local leadership to identify barriers to education, customizing our programs to meet each community’s specific needs.
In order for the cycle of poverty to be broken, we must change the way we view the world and those living in poverty.
When you sponsor a child through this program, you are supporting programs that enable these students to view themselves as the solution and ignite self-developing capabilities in them.
“I have no words for The 410 Bridge. You guys saw my high school life to a success. Now I am in my third year in one of Kenya’s leading universities. I can’t wait to finish my degree and give back to my community.”
– Steve, Sponsorship Program Alum, Electrical Engineering Student
It all about relationships!
The following stores show how sponsorship can change lives for both the child and the sponsor.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Log in to your sponsorship account to write a note and upload photos. These will be printed out and translated into your child’s language.
- Send your letter and pictures directly to our office: The 410 Bridge Sponsor Letters P.O. Box 450 Alpharetta, GA 30009-0450.
- Email your letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your letter will be translated and printed for your child, along with any photos you attach.
Please limit sending letters to once per quarter (4x per year) and make sure they are no longer than 2 short paragraphs. This helps with the cost of printing, translating and delivering them. Including photos is a great way to tell your child about yourself or your family.
Relationships are at the heart of what we do, and we make every effort to make sure you receive letters from your child. With that said, the communities where our students live are remote areas of the developing world and regular correspondence is often challenging.
Despite the opportunity they receive from our sponsors, children run away, drop out of school, become pregnant, get married, leave without notice or don’t show up to write letters. You should know that your child might leave before they reach the end of their sponsorship. While this happens with less than 10% of our sponsorships, we want to be transparent and sharing this possibility with you is important. If this does occur, we will transfer your sponsorship to another student within the same community. Additionally, if your child graduates out of the sponsorship program, we ask that you continue with us by supporting another child in the program. We’ll transition you to an unsponsored child who needs support. Of course, if you do not wish to continue, you may cancel your sponsorship at any time.
We ask that you pray for your child, their family, and their community. Your child will know your name, pray for you, and treasure the letters and pictures they receive. They feel encouraged by being sponsored and their life path will be different because of your generosity and relationship with them.
Remember…we’re on a journey of development in your child’s community. Our goal is to help your child break out of the vicious cycle of poverty. Because of your commitment and compassion, you have the opportunity to accompany them on this journey and see true, lasting change in their lives!
