Guatemala Wins 2025: Hope and Opportunity

This year, your generosity has sparked incredible change in Guatemala, empowering communities to thrive in ways that were once out of reach. From access to clean water to life-changing financial and farming programs, your support is creating real, lasting impact. Here’s a look at the 2025 milestones made possible by donors like you.

1. El Durazno Water Reservoirs

For families in El Durazno, clean water is no longer a dream—it’s a daily reality. Through a transformative rainwater harvesting project, seven homes now have 18,000-liter reservoirs delivering safe water right to their doorsteps.

What once required long walks to collect water now frees mothers’ time, improves health, and makes it possible to grow fresh food. More than a technical solution, this project has restored dignity, strengthened community bonds, and created lasting hope.

Built through the united efforts of community leaders, churches, visiting missionaries, and the 410 Bridge team, this project has become a model for other communities. Inspired by its success, neighboring villages are already asking for similar solutions in 2026—a ripple effect of clean water and opportunity.

2. Savings Groups Ministry

Our Savings Groups Ministry reached a powerful milestone this year, with over 300 participants in 28 active groups saving more than $46,000 across communities in Guatemala.

One standout group, Los Jazmines, began with a simple step of faith and completed two full savings cycles, accumulating over $17,500. These savings are fueling small businesses, home construction, farms, and overall family stability.

Beyond finances, every gathering is rooted in prayer, Scripture, and mutual encouragement, building spiritual and relational strength alongside economic growth. What began as saving money has grown into a movement of unity, trust, entrepreneurship, and hope, and in 2026, this ministry is poised to touch even more families and communities.

3. Business Startup Training (BST) & Foundations for Farming (F4F)

This year, 131 households participated in our BST and F4F programs—61 through F4F and 70 through BST—gaining practical skills to build lasting economic stability. The results are tangible: participants increased their average household income by 36% in just one year.

Stories like Ronaldo’s from El Triunfo highlight this impact. After years of hardship, he learned to grow vegetables and raise chickens and fish through F4F, providing daily food and new income for his family. Rooted in technical training and spiritual formation, these programs equip families with the tools and hope to move toward self-sufficiency, resilience, and a brighter future.

Your Support is Making a Difference

These milestones in Guatemala are proof that your generosity changes lives. Clean water flows, savings grow, and families gain the skills to build lasting stability. Every gift, prayer, and act of partnership contributes to hope, dignity, and opportunity for communities striving to thrive.

As we celebrate Guatemala’s 2025 wins, we invite you to continue walking with us—helping families dream bigger, work smarter, and build a future filled with hope.

Together, we are transforming lives, one milestone at a time.

Why Our New Kiu Case Study Matters

Seeing real, long-term transformation is the heart of why we do community development. It’s one thing to launch programs or build infrastructure, but it’s entirely another to watch a community continue to grow and thrive on its own after we step back.

That’s why we now have a new Kiu case study — to show what sustainable, community-led development looks like when it really works.
