Candy Pearson

Candy serves as our Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
She became aware of The 410 Bridge when she attended A Night For Africa in 2008. Candy and her husband, Chad moved to Georgia from California in April 2007. In California, she worked at the Vans Shoes corporate office, where she worked in marketing and project management. It was a great job, but having grown up in Georgia, Candy was missing her family more and more every day.
Candy always had dreams that Chad and herself would one day move to Georgia. Finally, after living in California for 5 years, her dream came true and they were ready to move across the country! They quickly sold their condo (after only 6 showings!) and Chad relinquished ownership of his business, to his partner (he owned an independent record company) and they were on their way to Georgia!
While living in California, she met Bobby Bailey, one of the three founders of Invisible Children, a nonprofit organization that works with kids, including former child soldiers of the LRA, in Uganda. Hearing his passion and his stories of the Ugandan people sparked something inside of Candy. She felt like, for the first time, she was seeing God’s heart for others and, especially God’s heart for the people of Africa. So, upon moving to Georgia, Candy prayed that God would open the door for a job that would take her passion for Africa and combine it with her faith in God. When she heard of the job opening at The 410 Bridge, she knew that God had just answered her prayer.
Candy is so thrilled to be a part of what God is doing through the people of Kenya and often has to pinch herself to make sure that she is not dreaming!
Chad and Candy have been married for 5 years and have chosen to start their family through adoption. They are currently in the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia. They love to dance (well at least Candy does) in their living room to loud music with their two dogs, Scooter and Rascal. Show up another day and you will find them playing Canasta (Yes, the old lady card game!) with their family while listening to James Taylor on the record player or they might be out hiking or camping and taking photos while enjoying God’s creation.
