Moses “Zhangi” Mwangi

Bio:

Moses Mwangi joins The 410 Bridge staff as our Logisitics Coordinator in Kenya. He will be responsible for coordinating all travel logistics in Kenya, and managing the resources needed for projects in our different communities.

Born in a single parent home in Nairobi, Moses struggled to make ends meet. He grew up bouncing from living with his mother and stepfather to his grandmother. Moses was never accepted by his stepfather, and made several attempts to take his life as a result of his family struggles.

As a young child, Moses was kicked out into streets. He said that through his struggles, he never cried, because his grandmother taught him to pray, and he believed this made him strong. To survive life on the streets, Moses made a wooden wheelbarrow for carrying people’s luggage in the local market. This made him enough money for food and clothing; and eventually was able to earn enough to go back to school.

However, once he advanced to high school, he could not afford the school fees, so he taught himself at home. During this difficult time in his life, is when Moses accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. He got very involved with a church, and his pastor gave him the opportunity to finish his high school education.

After high school, Moses worked as a casual laborer, and saved up enough money to go to college, where he got a degree in building construction. Since then, he has worked for several different organizations that have developed his managerial skills, and prepared him to enter his new role at The 410 Bridge.
