March Open Haiti Deaf Camp Service Trip

This team will provide a combination of activities for the hearing and deaf children and adults in the Haiti deaf community. This community is made of 168 families who were displaced from their homes after the earthquake. Approximately half of the residents are deaf. They are currently living in temporary homes constructed by the International Federation of the Red Cross. The 410 Bridge, our church partners and other foundations are building a permanent community for the deaf in an area called Leveque, which is a one hour drive from Port-au-Prince. As with all of our trips, the focus is on building relationships with the people we serve and using our gifts to administer God’s grace to those in need. You will have the opportunity to interact with local leaders, community members and many children throughout the trip.

Note: The cost is $1850 and includes ground transportation, breakfast, dinner, lodging and roundtrip airfare. The price for this trip indicates the projected cost dependent upon factors such as team size and flight prices. *The 410 Bridge age requirement for all Open Trips to Haiti is 14 years old (or in high school) and over. 2012 – Holiday Kenya Open Service Trip

This team will be working on a variety of projects in one of our Kenyan communities. Team activities are prioritized by community leaders, and typically include local service projects, ministering in churches and orphanages, as well as spending relational and educational time with members of the community. The focus of every 410 Bridge trip is to build relationships with the people of the Kenya, and to use our gifts to administer God’s grace to those in need. On the back end of the trip you will enjoy a safari day at a Kenyan national park where you will see a variety of animals while enjoying the Kenyan landscape. NOTE: The minimum age requirement for all open trip participants to Kenya is 16 years old. Participants under the age of 18 must have a guardian accompany them on the trip as well as completed and notarized Minor Release Forms containing each parent’s signature

Note: Initial deposit should be submitted as early as possible to reserve team’s trip. Work alongside the people of a 410 Bridge community, focusing on projects that have been identified as strategic priorities for the community. You will have the opportunity to interact with local leaders, community members, and many children throughout the week. On the back end of the trip you will enjoy a safari day at a Kenyan national park where you will see a variety of animals while enjoying the Kenyan landscape.
