The community of Ngaamba is struggling to find a sense of life in the middle of desperate situations. Not only do they have little access to the things that meet their daily needs like food and water, but they are now faced with larger issues in trying to help their community thrive. With disease and epidemics sweeping the nation of Africa as a whole, communities like Ngaamba find the need for medical training and facilities more pressing than ever. There are also a number of orphaned and street children in Ngaamba. The people of Ngaamba view the children as the future success of their community, but they currently have no facility to house or educate these children. Though the community has recently been taken on by Compassion International and is now in the beginning stages of registration and sponsorship for local families, there still remains a number of children who need help.

Though Ngaamba has a strong core of leadership, the overall vision for their community does not lie with them. The people of Ngaamba see the youth as their hope for a changed community. They recognize the process of transformation can be long and so they look to invest in the children - the future leaders. In partnering with Ngaamba, you will not only be able to provide the education and tools for success to those already in leadership, but most importantly, will be able to share in a vision to impart wisdom and leadership on the future generations of Ngaamba.
