Kwambekenya has been one of our fastest moving and most involved communities.  The community has taken very seriously their role on the Development process and has contributed significantly to every project undertaken within the community.  As we move forward in partnership with Kwambekenya, we expect their indigenous contribution to development to soon surpass our contributions.

Projects:

• Kiambariki Primary School completed and opened 2007 in 2010 the community hopes to construct additional classrooms to address the current over crowding and temporary facilities
• Teachers were funded for the year –Government took responsibility for their salaries Jan 2009.  Bright Point for Children Quality of Education program is running in the Kiambariki and providing additional teachers, desks, and materials
• Medical clinic construction began in 2008 and was finished in 2009.
• Access and distribution of clean water.  The community has prioritized water as one of the next projects.
• Micro Enterprise programs – Two additional classes of 20 students each to be trained mentored as they launch small business.
