With the Kiu AIC clinic serving more patients everyday, there is a need for more trained staff and better facilities. Currently there are only 2 beds but capacity for 5 and limited access to the medications needed to treat their patients.

Orphaned Children

There are over 200 orphans in the village of Kiu. Though Compassion International has recently taken on the community, there is still much to be done.

Schools

Currently, the village of Kiu has only one school to serve all the children within the community. The primary need is for nursery school classrooms and a secondary school.

Vocational/Polytechnic Training

The Kiu AIC wants to use a portion of their facilities as a center for vocational and polytechnic training for community members. With a building already set aside for such a purpose, they still need teachers, resources, etc. to help train the community.

Water

A recent geographical survey on the land reported that good water lies beneath the surface. However, access to the water is limited now and close to 4500 people are in need of it.
