History
Built along a major railway line linking the port of Mombassa to Uganda, Kiu is a market town where the buying and selling of produce is the major economy. People from India originally settled Kiu, but the rail line now divides the town between the Maasi and the Kamba people.
Location
2 1/2 hours southeast of Nairobi in the Sultan Hamud area of Kenya along the Mombassa Road. Just outside of Ngaamba.

Hope
The people of Kiu are looking for the kind of transformation that will change the spirit in their community. They are looking for healing not only in the medical sense, but the spiritual as well, seeking a sort of “spiritual impartation” for the people of their community. By partnering with the village of Kiu, you will be able to take part in providing the hope of life, both physical and spiritual, to the people of the community, making the village a place where people not only survive, but ultimately thrive.
