Physiotherapy for Eudecia Wanjiru Age 9

Donated: | Desired: $1392 per year ($115 per month)

Eudecia has suffered from Cerebral Paralysis since birth and has been receiving treatment on and off only when her parents can afford it since they are both unemployed. Her parents are also taking care of another family member with a medical need (See the special need for Hannah). Doctors have recommended physiotherapy sessions once a week and other medications to facilitate walking and stability. All of this has become very costly for her unemployed parents.

Dilapidated Home to be Rebuilt Funded

During The 410 Bridge’s last visit to Karogoto in April, the Leadership Council presented a special need for a desparate situation in the community. A man (name unknown) lives in a house with his three sons. All of the boys have mental disorders and the youngest (10 years old) is HIV positive; with no medication or proper food to help him fight the disease. The mother died four years ago and is buried on the property. The father’s left arm is paralyzed and it is difficult, if not impossible, for him to work yet he is responsible for the cooking and farming of the property. They depend on well-wishers from the community, especially churches, but resources from within his church are insufficient.

The house is literally on the verge of collapse and the Leadership Council asked if The 410 Bridge would be willing to help rebuild the structure. They further committed to having the community do the physical construction, if The 410 Bridge would assist with the materials.
