Feminine Products for Schoolgirls

The girls of Akado Primary, Sigoti Primary, and Kandaria Mixed Secondary school have a need for feminine products as most of these girls do not have access to clean and sanitary products. The quality of the girls education is in turn compromised by the situation as most girls choose to stay home from school during this time for about 3 to 7 days out of the week per month. These girls are in need of the proper feminine products and accompanying undergarments on a monthly basis. At this time, there are around 120 girls needing help in this area.

Dairy Cow and Cow Shed for John Ogara Adenga:

John has a wife and eight kids and has suffered for many years with leprosy. It has drained his resources and he is struggling to take care of his wife and kids and also pay school fees for his kids. The cow will help him meet school fee needs. John has a farm of about 1 acre that can hold dairy cows for milk. He can then join a small-scale farmers co-operative that will market the product and pay John. John has been a good member of the community and helpful in giving encouragement despite his state of health.

Otiendo House Renovation – Amount needed $1000 Funded

Mr. Otiendo is an elderly man living in the community of Kandaria.  He suffers from several severe illnesses and is unable to work and provide for himself.  The community has come along side Mr. Otiendo and is helping him with basic needs, several years back they even built him a wood/mud and straw hut.  The temporary structure is now collapsing and he is in need of a more permanent residence.  The Leadership Council has prioritized and approved the construction/renovation of a home.
