This community is located about 1.5 hours south of Port-au-Prince, on the coast, just east of Jacmel.

Description:

Raymond is located on the southern coast of Haiti near the city of Jacmel.  The 410 Bridge was introduced to the community through Joy in Hope, another organization that has been working in the area for years.  Community members in Raymond are excited about the prospect of partnering with churches and individuals in the U.S. through The 410 Bridge.  The community has a strong church presence and local leaders are excited to see both physical and spiritual transformation in their community.

A piece of land on the outskirts of the community has been identified as the future hub of development in the area.  The plans include a safe water project, education infrastructure, and a community center for vocational and pastoral training.   Water is the first priority for the area; and in 2012 we will begin a project that will bring consistent safe water to this community.
